Colby's New Trick

Nick taught Colby a new trick. I hope he's doing his ER rotation when he cracks his head or breaks his arm.

Feeding Sister

So, Colby wanted to "help" feed Kinsey one day. He was feeding her a bite and then finishing the bite himself. It was so funny. In this video he only did it once, but still hilarious.

Nana came

Nana don't shoot me for putting this picture on, but it is so sweet. Nana came and it was so fun. We started decorating our house for Christmas, and made a gingerbread village. and Colby took Nana on a date to the movies. We already miss her!!!

Then there was birthday cake...oh man. As you will see she smashed it and munched it. She's so fun it was great to watch her on her birthday. Colby was so cute with her, he was so excited for it to be her birthday that he was pretty crazy. I think he liked her present almost as much as she did :).

The Birthday Present

So, we took this on our camera but can't figure out why it goes so fast. Anyways this is her opening her birthday present. She loves it!!

Our Crazy Girl!!!!

This is the silliest girl ever!!! So, she is going through a little independent stage right now. She is usually a good eater (who knew, right!!) but lately she won't let us feed her, she wants to feed herself. So, after attempting to feed her one night we just gave her the bowl and spoon and she went to town. It was hilarious!!

Halloween

So, Colby wanted to be scary for Halloween...what do you think? The funny thing was while we were out trick-or-treating he was totally scared of other people. One house a few blocks away went all out and they dressed up like dead swamp people dragging chains. They just walked up and down their street following the kids. When they followed Colby he freaked!!! Needless to say we couldn't even go by there again.

We took the kids to the pumpkin patch. It was fun. There was a petting zoo, but the animals were NOT hungry. Colby kept trying to force them to eat, but they were not having it. Kinsey liked the animals, but seemed a little timid. It did not seem like a "fall" activity---it was hot. I guess that is Texas for ya :).

Things are going well though. Papi and Nani visited and it was so fun!! We had such a great time with them!

This is Colby on his first day of school. I know I am posting this a bit late---sorry. He loves school!! He has a great teacher and is making lots of friends.

Kinsey is not walking on her own yet, but she will walk with her little toy all over. I'm hoping she starts walking soon so we can go to the Summit (our little rec center).

The Mohawk

Here it is....the mohawk. It is so cool!! Colby thinks he's the coolest kid around. I won't leave it like this for long, but thought for the summer it would be fun. Not only that it has been good remedy for dry spots on his head.

Mmm....Cheetos

It may surprise some, but until this day (a few days ago) we had not yet introduced Kinsey to a few of the most basic foods that young ones may enjoy. Cheetos was a hit! However, she still enjoys her celery sticks. Basically it's anything she can get away with putting in her mouth.

The Baseball Game

So, Malia got us tickets to the baseball game in Round Rock. Thanks again!!! She and Faith came and hung out with us there for a while, but after Faith enjoyed her funnel cake and the game started they headed out. It was so much fun!! Look at our little man thinking he was the coolest. He thought it was really cool to see the game. Next time we will have to take a glove to catch the foul balls.

4th of July

We had a pretty good 4th. It had been since we moved to Texas that we had been to a parade, so we were pretty excited to take the kiddo's. I think it is funny how we go and do things (like parades) and swear that next year we will not do it again, because it is way too hot. We had forgotten that weather in Utah or Texas, the parades are way too hot!! I have to say Texas is a little warmer at 10am, so when we sat outside for two hours in 95 and the humidity it got miserable. We left after we had watched something like 168 "things" go by. I say things, because they were not floats. Texas is the only state I know that has a parade full of tractors and singing cowboy churches. This is not a joke. The mayor was in a fishing boat being pulled by a truck in a straw hat and overalls!!! I felt as if I was put there as a joke, challenging my very core not to make all out fun of everything. Colby had fun though and that was all that mattered.
That night we just went to our ward party and hung out. It was pretty fun, they had a big bounce house that was a waterslide. All of the kids played in that for a long time. Then they did a pinata, sack races, and finished the night with fireworks. We were all beat. The next day was not very pleasant taking the kids to sit through church--LOL!!
